MLS Bedroom Count Update

The MLS Committee updated the definition to standardize the bedroom count field.  The definition is:

If no local unit of government code is available, defer to UBC: “minimum of 70 sq feet (no horizontal dimensions can be less than 7ft),  privacy (4 walls), wall height more than 7ft (rooms with sloped ceiling the required floor area of the room shall have a ceiling height of not less than 5ft and not less than 50% of the required floor area shall have a ceiling height of not less than 7 feet), egress and heat source”

It is hoped that this will help clarify this for our members, customers, and clients.
